Everyone wants to get their hands on the acai berry these days. It contains so many vitamins, antioxidants, essential fatty acids, fibre, and much more, and it’s great for diets, cleansing the body, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. However, one of the things it’s not so great for is your wallet. Fresh acai berries are incredibly expensive if you can get them at all (the fresh berry loses much of its potency 24 hours after being picked). Finding frozen acai berries can be difficult, too, and again, they’re going to be a little pricy.
This leaves two options: acai berry juice and products with acai berry extract. The good news is that acai berry juice is widely available and generally costs less than a pound for a bottle at a grocery store. However, you’ll have to drink several of these acai berry drinks a day to get a good dose. The alternative is to take a product containing acai berry extract. You usually only have to take one or two pills a day to get a good amount of the berry extract. However, these products do cost—a monthly supply may range anywhere from £35 to £70 or more.
